Find God

One of the questions that I frequently ask people as I give an altar call is this: "If you were to die today, do you know where you would go?" There are a lot of people that have a really hard time answering that question. The Bible tells us, however, that it is possible to be certain of our eternal salvation after we die. Romans 10:9 says that if we believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, and if we confess with our mouths Jesus as our Lord, that we shall be saved. No one has to go to hell, but everyone needs to understand their need for a Saviour. Regardless of how good someone may be, they could never be good enough to go to Heaven. Everyone one must be saved, having the power and dominion of sin removed from their lives. That is why Jesus died on the cross. He did not just die physically, but He died spiritually as well. When we repent of our sin and confess His Lordship over our lives, we recieve spiritual life. That means that although we are not perfect outwardly, we are saved, because the very life of God purifies us of sin and makes us a new creation on the inside. If you have never repented of your sin and confessed Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, then I invite you to do so right now. Just say the following prayer with all of your heart to God:

"God, I repent of my sin. I believe that Jesus died for my sin and that he rose again to provide for me eternal life. From my heart, and with my own mouth, I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. And I thank you Lord, that according to the faith of my heart, the confession of my mouth and the faithfulness of your Word, that I am saved."
